Welcome to the Carl Zeiss Foundation Competence Center for High Performance Computing the Natural Sciences, or CHPCS for short. The competence center aims at consolidating the research efforts of the Johannes Gutenberg-University, Mainz in the fields of Big Data and HPC. More importantly, it will create novel interdisciplinary corporations with a variety of scientific users. We envisage a diverse number of application areas, including but not limited to Bioinformatics, Geology, Meteorology, Data Mining, or Visual Analytics.

We are a team of computer scientists dedicated to aid users of the university to solve problems related to hip-performance computing, optimization, or data analysis.
